Band HybridX rides high on the success of their second show

HybridX, a newly formed band by

Upal

Sengupta, Pata, Satadal Chatterjee,

Gabu

and Bumpy, among other musicians, performed recently at a city

gastropub

. The eventful night was attended by several music lovers from the city who made sure that the band's second show was a success. The band was formed through an adda session at Bumpy's place a year back. And the man motive of the band is to sing those songs that these musicians cannot perform while putting up a show with their respective individual bands.

HybridX

rendered a variety of songs during the show. Gabu said, "We generally don't play any Hindi songs in HybridX. We perform some classic Bengali songs which have Hindi versions. We play only Bangla gaan in Hybrid X for our audience." Bumpy, who also impressed everyone with his rendition of different songs at the gig, shared on his social media account: "With every passing day, I see how little I have worked and sooooooo much more is left to be done. So, I feel a little awkward in sharing these clippings that have been covered by different media houses. But I want to to say Thank You as these circulated dailies have covered a photofeature on my new project Hybrid X. Thank you for appreciating our music." Upal, who is currently holidaying in

, also said during the show that "The songs that we present through HybridX has arranged in a different way." Many music enthusiasts who attended the show, have shared statuses on their social media account praising the performance of the band. Some even wrote that they were nostalgic hearing the old Bangla band songs being crooned at the event.
