It was a special treat for Kolkata’s jazz connoisseurs, as the US Consulate hosted an evening of music with the New York-based Ari Rowland Jazz Quartet at a city club on Wednesday. The troupe, inspired by the Golden Age of Jazz, enthralled the audience with performances inspired by legends like
Charlie Parker, Dizzy Gillespie and Billie Holiday, as well as their own original compositions.
American Center director Joanne Joria was all praise for the band. Post event, the guests were seen sharing their experiences with each other, while some were spotted interacting with Ari Rowland and Keith Balla.
