Be it the Amazon fires’ destruction, the bushfire in Australia or the climate change all over the world, there seems to be no time for reflection despite social media turning out to be a rebel’s platform. However, Kolkata-based alternative-rock band Alok Chaya wants to draw attention to the seriousness of the environmental crises we are facing. Their latest offering is a folk melody ‘Jol Bina Chatok’ with the powerful words of Lalon Fokir.
"Well, we all know about the recent Amazon rainforest fire destruction and the seriousness of
global warming, so we decided to go for the video launch of our album 'Jol bina chatok.' The video focuses on the concept of nature's diversity, destruction of wildlife and conservation of our environment which brings in a healthy green ambience," the band members revealed after their music video launch.
Alok Chaya is a two-member band comprising Bijon and Suvo, and they hosted the album release at a South Kolkata venue recently giving an electrifying musical evening.
