A musical celebration to mark Rabindra Jayanti

To mark the 161st birth anniversary of Rabindranath Tagore on May 9, several young and upcoming singers came together at a city restopub for a musical show.

All the performers took the audience by surprise with their soulful Rabindrasangeet renditions. Some of the singers from the show included

Dipannita Acharya

,

Barini

, Anurag, Argha, Ashmita, Ishani,

Sreetama

and Pallabi, among others.



They sang Rabindrasangeet like

Amar Mallika Bone

, Amaro Porano Jaha Chaye, O Je Mane Na Mana, Akash Bhora,

Sokhi Bhabona Kahare Koy

and many more.

Sayok Das, the brain behind the show, said, “After a gap of six years, I organised a 25-shey Boishakh special show. It was lovely to see so many youngsters enjoying Rabindrasangeet. I am thankful to all the musicians and singers for putting up such a brilliant act.”



Another singer, Rajdeep, who performed at the show for the first time, said, “It was an unforgettable evening. I loved the ambience and I am glad that I got to perform with such talented artistes.”
