Suprobhat is a hardcore fan of Virat Kohli

Finally Bhalobasha actor Suprobhat Das is having the time of his life juggling projects. Apart from being part of Anjan Dutt’s stage production, Salesmaner Songshar, the actor is also busy shooting for quite a few projects. But the hardcore sports fan still finds time for cricket.
“I am following IPL and watching almost all matches, but I’ve shifted my allegiance to

Royal Challengers Bangalore

and have been rooting for the team for quite a while now. Of course, the biggest reason behind this is the presence of Team India captain Virat Kohli. Moreover, the fact that there’s not a single Bengal player in our so-called home team made me lose interest in it,” said the actor, who used to play football from a very early age. “In fact that was my goal in early life — to become a footballer of repute. I was part of the Bengal and Mohun Bagan sub-junior teams when I was around 10-11 years of age. After that, life happened and studies took priority over everything else. I ended up working in New Delhi,” he added.

Then how did acting happen to him? “I had to quit my job and come back home owing to some family problems. That’s when I started doing theatre seriously. Looking at my work, a lot of friends and well-wishers advised me to pursue acting as a full-time career. I gave it a thought, decided to heed their advice and here I am,” said the actor, who has since worked in several Bengali films, including the Anjan Dutt’s Ami Ashbo Phirey, and earned appreciation for his performances.
