It’s even more important this year because the COVID affected patients will have problem in breathing. So, let this Diwali be of lights and a no crackers Diwali,” urged Subhashree while speaking to ETimes during an exclusive chat.
Sharing the same concern actress Sreelekha Mitra also urged everyone to celebrate this Diwali a cracker free one due to the immense harm it can cause to the environment by emitting poisonous fumes. She says it also causes harm to the pets at home, stray animals and the birds around us.
"I am a dog mother and I know how much trouble our furry friends go through due to the sound and harmful smoke produced by these crackers. Animals in our homes and on the streets get extremely frightened. Even the birds around us feel uncomfortable. I would urge everyone to say no to crackers and celebrate this Diwali with lights and diyas," added the actress.
