Rituparna Sengupta and
Chandan Roy Sanyal have once again paired up for a love story. Titled ‘
Salt
’, the film is being directed by Kolkata-based director Sunny Ray. Both the actors have already started shooting in and around Kolkata. Also starring Shubham and
Ishhaan S Mazumder
in pivotal roles, the film sheds light on the complexities in relationships.
Chandan says this story reminds him of the Hollywood classic ‘Blue Valentine’ and he’s so excited to play a character that shows from a completely different perspective. Meanwhile, Rituparna who plays Maya in the film says the story is about a couple’s journey.
“I am really looking forward to Salt. Sunny has come up with a wonderful idea and quite contemporary to suit today's psyche of a woman Salt describes the couple as edgy and exceptional. I play Maya, a free-flowing girl by nature. She is an author by profession. Maya is married to an architect, played by Chandan. He is ambitious by nature. They both are on different journeys but somehow decide to walk the same path. The film shows their journey over a span of 12 years,” shared Rituparna adding that it’s a wonderful experience to work with such a powerful actor like Chandan Roy Sanyal.
