: This film is a modern-day take on some handpicked portions of Sarat Chandra Chattopadhyay’s iconic 1917 novel Srikanto. On an idyllic retreat offered by an influential friend Hukumchand, Srikanto, the protagonist, meets the beautiful Rajlokhi, his friend's mistress. The sudden encounter throws them into a past they had both long left behind as well as the bitter memories of people they had long forgotten. What happens next forms the crux of the film.
