Samik Roy Choudhury is set to start shooting for his next, a thriller titled ‘
Beline
’. The engaging thriller stars
Paran Bandopadhyay and
Sreya Bhattacharyya in key roles.
The plot revolves around an old retired, single man in his late sixties who leads a regular life involving watching TV serials, playing indoor games, sleeping, eating and sometimes drooling at the housemaid's curves. There was no venture in his life until one day he gets a wrong call from a girl, which becomes the window to peep into that girl and her live-in partner’s life. The engaging call ran as long as 3 days explaining the couple’s struggle, and the downward chemistry between them from an eccentric voyeur’s point of view. This call ends as we come with a wrench in the narration to let out an uncanny mystery.
While the story is by the director himself, camera will be handled by
Supriyo Dutta and
Sanglap Bhowmik
will edit the film. Samik has previously made award-winning short films like
Okiagari
, Loner Lost (in)Sanity and quite a few music videos winning accolades.
