Director and producer Raja Chanda to cast Yashpal Sharma in his film, Bullet, which is scheduled to go on the floors from February 9.This Bullet wouldnt hurt. Thats a promise from Raja Chanda. But the film-maker assures his audience that the effect of his Bullet would be striking. With Lagaans Yashpal Sharma making his Tollywood debut, the film seems to be making headlines already.
Says Yashpal, Abhijit Lahiri, one of my seniors, and the director are common friends. In fact, Raja Chanda was looking for me and Abhijit passed on my number to him. The director told me that the character was penned keeping me in mind. Ask him how it all fell into place and the actor reveals, I had come to Kolkata for a play where the director and producer saw my act, and confirmed me for the film.
Says Raja Chanda, Yashpal is playing Biru Pandey, a Bihari cop, adding, I needed a powerful actor for the part, one who can speak in both Bengali and Hindi. Also, after having watched Lagaan I was eager to work with him. When I narrated the script to him, Yashpal immediately agreed to come on board.
Biru Pandeys short is BP meaning bulletproof. Woh dushmano ka BP high kar deta hai. Ill work hard and try to learn Bengali. and its confirmed that Ill dub for myself, the actor said.

Joy, who is working again with Raja post-Target is excited to have bagged this role. I play an underworld don here. From Biltu, he becomes Bullet. I am
trying to flaunt a rough and bearded look for this action flick. I am also trying out voice modulations, says Joy.
Raja also explains why he chose Joy, Target saw him as an honest police officer. But I wanted to explore his angry, young man image further and hence, roped him in.
Thats not all.
