From intricate Patachitra artwork and luxurious Pashmina shawls to quirky home décor and ethnic handmade apparel, the mela had been a treasure trove of handcrafted items. Foodies and stationery enthusiasts had found plenty to enjoy, with stalls catering to visitors of all ages. Adding to the charm had been the soulful baul music, which had created an ambience steeped in Bengal’s cultural essence.
For many attendees, the mela had not just been about shopping but also about connecting with traditions. “I come here every year to pick up handmade saris and bags,” said Priya Banerjee, a homemaker. “The quality is unmatched, and you feel like you’re supporting artisans directly.”

“It wasn’t just a fair; it was an experience,” shared Subhajit Dey, a university student. “The baul music and the energy of the crowd made it so lively. I was here with friends, and we picked up some quirky décor for our flat.”
For families, the event had offered a chance to unwind together. “My kids loved the variety of toys and stationery there,” said Aparna Chakraborty, a mother of two. “While they were busy exploring, I got to enjoy the crafts and food stalls—and it was wonderful that we could bring our dog along!”
