Shrikant Mohta, head of SVF, one of the biggest film productions in eastern India, was picked up by CBI from his Kolkata office on Thursday in a Rose Valley case. There are a number of ongoing SVF projects in Tollywood right now, be it film or TV. Some films are awaiting their release.

However, the Tolly industry remains tight-lipped about the outcome. But many believe Shrikant represents an esteemed organization whose co-owner is Mahendra Soni. So, in absence of Shrikant Mohta, he will handle the situation like a pro.
According to sources, Shrikant Mohta had ignored more than one summons by CBI earlier. On Thursday, a team of CBI officers reached his home to question him. As he wasn’t there, the CBI team then went to his office at Kasba and detained him. Mohta was later brought to the CBI office in Salt Lake and then arrested.
