Since the
pandemic
hit us in March 2020,
Sreenanda Shankar has turned down all assignments, be it for modelling,
OTT platforms
or films. “I miss my shoots badly but the pandemic has made me very careful. I haven’t yet had the guts to get out, as I still have mental blocks. So I have refused several projects. I will work in a setting, where everyone is tested often or once I’m vaccinated. Every day, we get news of how some actor or the other is getting affected by
COVID
. It is very disturbing. If I was living alone, maybe I could have taken chances, but at the end of the day, I have to come back home to family members, who are working from home, whether it’s in Kolkata or Mumbai. For now, I’m working online from home,” said the actress.
Did she learn anything in this pandemic and lockdown? “Oh yes! I learnt to cook from scratch during this phase and I’m proud of it. It gave me peace! We have all gone through quite a bit of anxiety and I believe cooking turned out to be a great stress buster,” said Sreenanda.
At present, the actress is working on her fitness regime. “I’m using this time to increase my strength, keeping my dance going, and upgrading myself in every possible way. This has been a mentally difficult phase for everyone including me. It’s time to get myself completely ready for future projects,” said the actress.
