Why is Saurav Das all praise for co-actor Payel Sarkar?

Actor Saurav Das is wrapping up his work schedules pretty fast these days. The actor is on a creative high with films, series and his own short film directorial in the making. “I am in the process of completing my shooting schedules, which I have started a month ago. These include Korapaak with Payel Sarkar, director Arghya Deep Chatterjee’s Porijaayi and another film Bakita Kalponik with Ena Saha, Aryan and Soumendra. We are in the last schedule of all the three films,” said Saurav.
The actor is also happy to be a part of a string of series that will be available on the online platform. Saurav, who was once a popular television face, is steadily carving a niche for himself in the film industry. “I am getting to act with film editors and directors who are dabbling in different projects. . So, these are good times for an actor like me who is constantly looking for newer work opportunities,” he shared.
Saurav is also all praise for his co-actor Payel. He finds her to be extremely down-to-earth and adaptable. “Her happy-go-lucky and cheerful disposition on the film set has easily translated to a good chemistry between us on screen. I had a lovely time working with her,” he said.
The actor shared that he started off in the entertainment industry as a singer. So, he is always keen on reviving opportunities for singing. He has also done a couple of playbacks. “The music director of Shob Bhooturey, Subho Pramanik, has a band called Underground Authority. I was a guitarist of that band. Subho, Kuntal and I have formed a band called Fools Are Back. We are working on it and recording our first song, Keu Bole De and doing a music video too,” Saurav shared, who first faced the camera as a singer in director Aditi Roy’s Obosheshey. The director had featured his first band, Rahein, in the film that got Roopa Ganguly a National Award.
They are thinking of launching the band Fools Are Back, end of September 2019. Besides, his directed short film, Spare Key, where he acted opposite Darshana Banik, is in the post-production stage now. “We will also do the festival rounds for the film,” Saurav added.
