Shiboprosad Mukherjee and Nandita Roy's Haami has broken all records of the director duo's previous films. The film, that has been running over 50 days at the theatre, has been lapped up by the audiences. The story of the film focuses on the friendship between three kids and their relationship with parents. But a much serious issue forms the crux of the film.
The film aims to drive home a richer and more inclusive message about sexual assault awareness on school campuses. At the success bash of the film, that was attended by the who's who of the industry, little Brata, who plays one of the key characters in the film and veteran actor
Soumitra Chatterjee recited the poem, Jhulan, together. Since the film released, Brata has become the cynosure of all eyes at events. At the success bash, when Brata recited a line from 'Abani, Bari Acho?' by
Shakti Chattopadhyay, it left Soumitra Chatterjee in awe, who also gave the little guy a pat on his back. Impressed by Brata, the veteran actor requested him to recite Jhulan by
Rabindranath Tagore. As Brata began to recite, he was joined by who else but the actor himself. No wonder the entire room broke into a round of applause.
