Bidipta Chakraborty is feeling a little sad today. “Today being Children’s Day, my younger daughter, Ida, thought that I would be there with her. But, I had to shoot some important scenes of Alo Chhaya today. Ida called me after returning from school and literally started crying. She had told her friends that she will be going out with me for a special Children's Day lunch! After coming back from school, she couldn’t believe that I had gone for the shoot.
I requested my mother to be at our place with Sudiptaa’s (Chakraborty) daughter, so that Ida can have a good time. I have to organise a special dinner for her today. My mind is with her today because I don’t like to hear or see any child cry,” said Bidipta. She added, “Tomorrow is my elder daughter’s birthday and we have celebrations planned from midnight. I am hoping Ida will be in a good mood. Ida wanted a laptop and I am planning to buy one for her as a Children’s Day gift.”
Bidipta plays the mother of two girls, Alo and Chhaya, in the serial, Alo Chhaya. The serial shows how the two girls are raised together and their mutual love for each other. However, growing up under Chhaya's shadow comes at a cost for Alo and their relationship gets affected. “I am planning something special for the two child actors, Hiya and Gungun, for Children’s Day. These kids are as fond of me as I am of them,” said the actress.
Bidipta will start shooting for Indraadip Das Gupta’s Bismillah from next month. “In this film too, I play Kaushikda’s (Ganguly) wife. I played his wife in Cholo Let’s Go and Kedara too. There is so much to learn from him and I wait eagerly to share the screen with him,” said Bidipta.
