Riingo said, "It's a gangster biopic. I thought it was easier to make a web series but as it turns out, it's not. It's a much bigger canvas. It wasn't easy to create 1971 Calcutta during 2019. The geography, colour and landscape are different. Which is why we had to use a lot of VFX affects to make things look realistic. Going by the tremendous positive response, I'm certain that this is one of the most successful projects of my career."
