remain far behind? Even the busiest of directors are trying their hand at web series; the latest being Sudeshna Roy and Abhijit Guha. The duo is currently shooting

, a take on virgin mojito and yet not the same.

“The subject is virginity and mohito is a Bengali word for charmed. Also, the hero is called Mohit,” elaborated Sudeshna on the title of the series. The duo talks about women’s empowerment and asks a few important questions like why should virginity be a virtue for a woman and vice for a man. “Men can play around when women are expected to remain virgins till marriage. Also, a woman is called characterless if she talks about sex. In today’s time, when equality is celebrated everywhere, there are still some discrepancies. One of the lines in the web series goes like — virgin does not lie in the hymen but in the mind. It’s a comic take on sexuality and looks at the world through glasses that are everything from rose-tinted to crooked,” said Sudeshna, who had long back directed a film on a similar subject called Teen Yaari Katha. “It was from a male point of view,” she added. The web series stars June, Ushasie Chakraborty, Piya Debnath, Anindita Bose, Geetasri and Ananya Sen. One chapter of the shoot over, the director duo will begin the next from March 27.
