United by grief, the entire nation paid its tribute to
Lata Mangeshkar who breathed her last at the age of 92 in a Mumbai hospital on Sunday morning. She was being treated at the hospital since January 8 after testing COVID-positive.
Like many others from the film fraternity, actor Ishan Mazumder was also left in shock when he first heard the news. The talented actor who was shooting for a South film at the time decided to pay a small tribute to the music icon in his own way.
Ishan, also a professional singer, rendered the popular song ‘Naam Goom Jayega’ by Lata ji from the film ‘Kinara’ and shared it on social media.

Lata Mangeshkar, known as the ‘Nightingale of India’ had sung in Hindi, Marathi, Bengali and several other regional languages. She was awarded the Bharat Ratna, Padma Vibhushan,
Padma Bhushan and Dadasaheb Phalke Award along with many National and Filmfare Awards. Lata Mangeshkar's last complete album the 2004 Bollywood release ‘Veer-Zaara’ is still etched in our hearts.
Meanwhile, on the work front, Ishan will now start shooting for Argha Deep Chatterjee’s relationship drama ‘Chiro Sakha Hey’ which will see Tnushree Chakraborty opposite her.
