The trailer of Anu Menon���s Waiting, starring Naseeruddin Shah and Kalki Koechlin, has created quite a sensation ever since it was released a week ago. The story about two people finding strength in each other as their respective spouses fight death in a hospital, has touched a nerve with the audience.However, there���s one person with whom, the film has failed to resonate. Director Partha Sen has alleged that the trailer looks very similar to the story of his film, Anubrata Bhalo Acho?, starring Swastika Mukherjee and Ritwick Chakraborty, which released in August 2015. ���There are too many similarities to ignore. Even the name card, red lettering on white background, is the same,��� said Partha. When we caught up with Anu, she denied having any clue about the Bengali film. ���Nope, I���ve never seen or heard about this film. I hardly know anything about the Bengali industry,��� said the director. On being asked about the inspiration of her film, she said, ���A very close relative of mine was in coma for 8 months. I don���t like to talk about that phase. But as I said, I have never seen this Bengali film. My film draws from the processing of my life, and the questions I asked myself at that point of time. I���ve been working on this film for five years and it was ready by May 2015.��� For the uninitiated, Partha���s film released in August last year. On the other hand, Anu had talked about being in the middle of the editing process of Waiting to this reporter in March last year. Meanwhile, Partha plans to approach the concerned production house for a clarification.
