to venture into acting and produce films. A die-hard fan of Uttam Kumar, Subham, a schoolteacher by profession, considers the matinee idol his inspiration. “He drew me towards cinema. In 2017, I produced a film, Chirodiner Ek Onno Premer Golpo, in which I acted too. Samadarshi Dutta played the hero. But it didn’t do well at the box office. But I didn’t lose hope and went on to produce another film, Shlilatahanir Pore, where Rahul and Soumitra Chatterjee played the lead and the film did well. That gave me that confidence to pursue my dreams. I’m still learning so that I can fulfil my dreams,” said Subham, who is currently shooting for Bishakto Manush directed by Sunny Ray and produced by his company Sonom Movies. “My company will also be producing Soham’s next film directed by PB Chaki. Soham asked me to act in this film but I refused, as there’s no character that suits my personality,” he added.

Subham has acted as a hero opposite Rittika Sen in the film Amar Challenge, which is running in the theatres now. “It is produced by my company and it’s a love story with a twist at the end,” said Subham, who has also acted in a Hindi film, Salt, with Rituparna Sengupta and Chandan Roy Sanyal.

“I have completed shooting for Abar Choddobeshi with Paayel Sarkar and Hiraan. I’ve also acted in a film, Click, where Sumana plays the female lead. So, by the grace of God, I’m part of meaningful projects now,” he said.
Subham, who also did a Hindi music video with Rakhi Sawant, can’t stop praising the actress. “It’s an item song and the way Rakhiji helped me during the shoot is commendable. I’m not much of a dancer, but she helped me with the dance steps,” said Subham, who also did a Bengali music video with Darshana Banik.

He is now looking forward to working in Hunter with Samantha Ruth Prabhu. “It’s a Hindi film and the shoot will start in January. I want to make a mark in the world of entertainment and for that, I am working very hard,” he said.
