Ushasie is returning to the small screen

Ushasie Chakraborty is returning to the small screen in a mega serial. She will be sharing screen space with Indrani Halder, who is in the central character in the story. Sudip Mukhopadhyay will be playing Indrani’s husband and Ushasie will play the role of his colleague.

“I am happy to come back to the small screen, but more than that, I am happy that I am acting with Sudipda. He was a part of the cast in the first mega serial I had worked in, and now he is there again,” said Ushasie. In the past 10 years, she has been part of a number of films and took a break from acting in between to complete her PhD.

A few months ago, Ushasie finished the shoot for Barshali Chottopadhyay’s next, Darling Wife. The horror-thriller has three main characters – Aman played by Amitabha Acharya, Pari played by Ankita Chakraborty and Pinki played by Ushasie. The story is revolves around Pari, who is married to Aman, and has a domestic help named Pinki. After their marriage, Pari starts having strange visions and gets unknown smells in her house. But no one can explain the reason behind her eerie experiences. As the story unfolds, it’s found that Pari had a past relationship and the man she had a relationship with had committed suicide after she got married to Aman. The shooting of the film mostly took place on the outskirts if Kolkata and it took just six days to complete the shoot.
