The film, which marks the debut of two bright newcomers
Rajnandini Paul and
Amartya Ray, is touted to be the first road movie in Bengali cinema, with not even a single indoor shot.
Now, to increase the excitement among the cine-lovers, the makers have announced another good news.
‘Uronchondi’ has received an uncut ‘U’ certificate from the censor board.
Besides Rajnandini and Amartya, the road movie also features national award-winning actress
Sudiptaa Chakraborty and thespian and veteran actress
Chitra Sen.
‘Uronchondi’, directed by
Abhishek Saha, revolves around the unconventional journey of three women and the social stigma and oppression they confront in life and ultimately how they overcome all the tribulation. Music has a significant part to play in the film and renowned composer
Debojyoti Mishra has done wonders.
Recently during a media interaction, the director explained that although his film narrates the journey of three women, it also raises questions against the evils of society as a whole and even men can relate to the story. “At the end of the day, we all want to be free from the daily grind and drudgery of life,” says Abhishek.
