Director
Abhishek Saha's debut film ‘Urnchondi’ is touted to be the first road movie of Bengali cinema.
Veteran actress
Chitra Sen plays one of the central characters in this film bankrolled by
Prosenjit Chatterjee’s home production.
Besides the senior actress,
Sudiptaa Chakraborty and two debutants
Rajnandini Paul and
Amartya Roy
will be seen as the main protagonists.
While speaking about working with three newcomers in the film, Chitra Sen says shooting for
‘Uronchondi’
was a lifetime experience for her. “I was so happy to see these two young actors Rajnandini and Amartya. You won’t believe how professionally they have carried out their homework. This is not the film to just throw the dialogues on the sets. There has to be a lot of preparation before appearing for a shot. Abhishek is also professional. He has a clear mind. He knows what he wants. As a director he gives his actors the needed flexibility,” she said.
The veteran actress also spilled the beans about her character in the film, “I play an old woman, who has a tendency to share her sadness with all the young people around her despite the age difference and while encouraging them to share their sad stories too.”
