Theatrical business is responsible for much of the cine world’s stardom and fame, yet the cinema halls continue to remain closed even if the unlock 4 phase began. Now, the Multiplex Association of India has put out a public appeal to the Government to reopen cinema halls once again with the hashtag #UnlockCinemaSaveJobs trending since morning.
A bunch of film stars have also started raising their voice on the importance of the big screen experience.
Movie theatres remain shut as part of the government’s unlocking guidelines and cinema owners have already taken to digital protests over the past one month using hashtags like ‘Support Movie Theatres’ and ‘Save Cinema Save Jobs.’

Cine lovers all over the world have slowly started making their way back to the theatres, but in India, you will have to wait at least until September 30 as cinema halls have been left out in Unlock 4.0, even as metros have been given permission to resume operations. In fact, single screen theatres have suffered the worst during pandemic. They are already a dying breed in Bengal and the current crisis has made things worse.
