‘Unicorn’ trailer: When the pragmatic world meets a dreamland

Actor turned director Tathagata Mukherjee is all geared up for his next, a Bengali film ‘Unicorn’. Starring his wife

unicorn

and our Bengal’s famous traditional ‘Nokshikatha’, tries to merge both to create an impassioned tale. The official trailer of the hour long social drama, produced by PSS Entertainment and Pramod Films, is out now and it looks every bit intriguing.

Elaborating on her character, Debleena said: “I am playing Apala, a girl who loves to dream and lives inside his dream world. She drifts away to a land of fantasy and delusion to escape the harsh reality. Apala slowly loses detaches herself from the real as she can’t differentiate between the magical and the pragmatic world. It leads others to see her as a mentally imbalanced person.”

Veteran actor Chiranjeet Chakraborty heaped praise on director Tathagata saying that it’s amazing how he handles everything with ease: “The way Tathagata shot my 14 scenes in between sunrise and sunset, it’s just amazing. First we thought it would be a short film but later it turned out to be an hour lone one.”

Recently the trailer was launched in presence of the entire ‘Unicorn’ team along with popular actors Sreelekha Mitra and Chaiti Ghosal.
