Triple Talaq Bill: Parno calls it a historic move

President Ram Nath Kovind on Wednesday gave his assent to a legislation aimed at banning the infamous "Triple Talaq", an Islamic practice allowing men to divorce their wives instantly. This latest development comes a day after it got passed in the Rajya Sabha amid several walkouts and abstentions. The bill will be deemed to have come into force from September 19, 2018.
Parno Mittra who recently joined BJP calls it a historic move for the women in India.The pretty actress took to her Twitter handle to share her views. "#TripleTalaqBill passed by Rajya Sabha. A step towards gender equality and justice. Historic move for the women of India," she wrote on social media.
