In the upcoming web series titled 'Picasso', directed by Raja Chanda, there’s an eerie premise: an artist creates a portrait, only to later find out that the very subjects of his artwork face ominous ends. This spine-chilling narrative features Tota Roychoudhury in the lead role, wherein he portrays an artist whose subjects are eerily and mysteriously found dead. The series, which is all set to premiere in the upcoming month, also boasts of a talented ensemble cast which includes names like Saurav Das, Srijla Guha who will be seen as journalist Shreya, Roja Paromita Dey, Deboprasad Haldar, Raheli, and Kavya Bhowmik.
For Tota Roychoudhury, who previously garnered a lot of appreciation for his exemplary role in 'Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani', this role in 'Picasso' was both intricate and challenging. He expressed, “The depth of my character required a lot of introspection. The character was multifaceted, and the meticulous writing of the script required us to work closely and delve deep to truly bring this character to life. Though I've embodied the role of a painter in the past, this role was far more nuanced. I am confident that the viewers will be captivated.”
Director Raja Chanda, on the other hand, shared his longstanding fascination with Pablo Picasso since his academic years. The opportunity to create a suspense thriller, especially one that revolves around such an iconic name, was a thrilling prospect for him. Moreover, Chanda expressed his eagerness to collaborate with Tota, whom he regards as immensely gifted.
