Tonic
’ promises to deliver sublime humor with a social message on a strong note.
It’s a story of a retired person who faced many ups and down in life to fulfill his dream to celebrate his special day in a special way. How he succeeds to do so is the crux of the story. Recently the teaser was dropped online and it has already sent the social media into a tizzy.
The film revolves around a possessive son and his father. It shows how a son’s over-possessiveness affects their relationship. The problem becomes severe when the son celebrates his parents’ 50th anniversary in a low-key way, but makes sure his own anniversary is celebrated in a grand way. Dev’s character comes in between the father-son relationship and we see how he tries to make things better.
‘Tonic’ also stars
Shakuntala Barua, Neel and Koneenica Bandopadhyay. Sujoy Dutta Roy is the Editor, while
Supriyo Dutta is the DOP of the movie. Jeet Ganguly has composed the songs.
The social drama is scheduled to release on May 8.
