Tolly celebs and their travel plans for Puja!

When others were busy shopping for Puja, I was busy shooting. So, I decided to gift myself an air ticket to Bali this festive season. This year, I will be travelling there with my parents. However, I will be flying only after Saptami as I have prior commitments in the city. During this vacation, I will take it easy — eating, sleeping and of course, shopping till I drop.

On Dashami, I have an assignment in Delhi post which, I will be travelling to Simla with my parents and sister. My sister is getting married in December. So, the four of us want to spend time together before she ties the knot. Simla, of course, is a beautiful place. My parents had gone there for their honeymoon years back. So, my sister and I are constantly teasing them by calling it their ‘second honeymoon’.

For me, travelling is a passion. If I don’t get to travel thrice a year, I don’t get an impetus to work for the next few months. This year, I will be going to Sri Lanka on October 19 and will be back only after Lakshmi Puja. Now, that I direct and act as well, I don’t get much free time. So, I make the most of it during Puja.

We have a group of friends, who travel together once a year, mostly targeting the Pujas. Last year, we planned a trip to Thailand. This year we will be going to Goa on Saptami. Since all my friends are working, this is the only time when we get a holiday together. We unwind, eat and gossip to our heart’s content.

On Ashtami, I will be flying to Darjeeling with my husband and our gang of friends. This will be the ninth year that I will spending my holidays in the hill station. And I rediscover the place every time. From Panchami to Saptami, I will be spending time with my friends in Kolkata. My husband gets a few days’ leave during Pujas and we make the most of it by travelling.
