Murari M Rakshit’s ‘Reunion’ which released earlier this year was appreciated by all for its honest attempt in portraying the student politics in 90s Bengal. Now, if all goes according to plan, his next ‘Chuti’ will have Tnusree Chakraborty and
Ritwick Chakraborty in the lead. The story of this film is original and meant for children. We hear Tnusree has given her green signal but Ritwick is yet to give final confirmation.
It will be interesting to see another fresh pair in Tollywood.
Tnusree’s recent release ‘Gumnaami’ has hit the box office bull’s eye receiving appreciation from both audience and critics alike. The actress played the role of an obsessed print journalist’s wife to the tee. The film is based on the Mukherjee Commission hearings related to the alleged death of Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose.
Meanwhile, Ritwick’s latest release ‘Rajlokkhi O Srikanta’ which also stars Rahul Banerjee, Bangladeshi actress Jyotika Jyoti and Sayan Ghosh in the lead, has received critical acclaims. The film directed by Pradipta Bhattacharya is a modern-day take on Sarat Chandra Chattopadhyay’s classic novel ‘Srikanto’.
