After taking his audience on a thrill ride with films like Antarleen and Flat No 609, Arindam Bhattacharya is coming up with yet another thriller. The yet untitled project stars Parambrata Chattopadhyay, Tnusree Chakraborty,
Mamata Shankar and
Rajatava Dutta in the lead.
Giving us a peek into the story, the director said, “Anirban (Parambrata) and Tonu (Tnusree) were having a good time with their teenage daughter, Zinia (Mohor Chowdhury), after moving to Kasauli.
The couple was staying in Delhi before Anirban, a professor, gets transferred to this quiet, lonely town. It was all going well and they started liking the place before they had a new set of mysterious neighbours. Zinia, who heads out for an excursion with her neighbours, soon goes missing. Her parents find out that the friends who were supposed to accompany her on the trip didn’t even go with Zinia. The story takes a turn from that point.”
Tnusree, who is excited to have her real pet name in the film, will fly off to Himachal a day before the shoot starts on February 28. “The USP of Arindamda’s films is the twist in the end. And there’s one in this story too. The audience will be startled when they watch the climax. Story is always the king in Arindamda’s film. This is going to be one gripping tale,” said the actress. Parambrata, who liked the script, is looking forward to the shoot. He said, “Despite being a thriller with many twists and turns, it is very humane at the core. I thought Antarleen was a decent attempt by a first-time filmmaker and heard good things about Flat No 609 too. I am pretty excited about this film, especially the Himachal shoot.” The music for the film is being scored by Ratul Shankar.
