However, Soumya is tight-lipped about the project, told CT. Although during the first phase of the lockdown Soumya even took Hindi classes to get a grip on the language. On being asked what that was for, he said, “I was getting bored, so I took the initiative of learning a new language. And there is no harm in learning something new. That’s it.”
Talking about Anindya (Chattopadhyay), who is like a mentor to Soumya, the actor said, “As a director, Anindya sir spoils you. One can never get a director like him. He is my mentor. My parents were down with COVID when his parents too got infected by the virus. But every day, Anindya sir used to call me to check on my parents’ health and asked me if I needed anything.”
‘Prem Tame’ earned Soumya a lot of appreciation for his natural acting. Also starring Sushmita Chatterjee and Sweta Mishra in the lead, the film revolves around Pablo who gets caught in a tussle between two warring factions of the students’ union.
