Featuring Jisshu Sengupta, Sara Sengupta, Anjan Dutt, Srabanti Chatterjee and Sayantika Banerjee in the lead, 'Uma' is inspired by the story of Canadian boy Evan Leversage, who died of cancer in 2015. Leversage came to be known as 'The Boy Who Moved Christmas' when his hometown celebrated Christmas, two months in advance, to make sure the little boy could see the festival before death. Sara played a young girl suffering from a terminal disease and has only a few days left while Jisshu acted as her father.
Srijit’s film was also screened at Evan’s hometown St George in Canada.
