Gargee Roychowdhury and Sudiptaa Chakrabarty in pivotal roles. Elements of human emotions and complexities playing out between deft actors, this film was lapped up by the critics and audience alike.
It’s the story about a Tollywood superstar, Indrajit Gangopadhyay (Prosenjit Chatterjee), who is homeward bound after ages when he receives the news of his father’s demise. Will his native land be waiting for him with open arms or will this be his last visit?
‘Jyesthoputro’ will surely make you question norms, invite judgements and well up emotions — all that speaks well of the storytelling. What Kaushik Ganguly did skillfully is he handled the characters and gave everyone enough screen time to develop into full-blown personalities that love each other as well as clash with each other.
