Parineeta
’s release, heaped praise on his wife, actress
Subhashree Ganguly. This was the first time Subhashree shared the screen with
Ritwick Chakraborty. Raj has had ensured Subhashree’s first film post marriage will give the audience an ample dose of surprise, especially her character Mehul which has so many shades.
“So far people have seen Subhashree more of a glamorous heroine who is quite fabulous in dancing. But this is wrong, I thing Subhashree has been under-utilised. People will see her in a new light in ‘Parineeta’. I have explored a different side of her in this film,” Raj had assured.
An excited Raj also added: “Subhashree’s strong point is the depth in her acting. You would be surprised to see her in ‘Parineeta’. She is so realistic here. Her character Mehul has a lot of shades. The interesting part is sometimes we had shot different parts of Mehul’s life on the same day and Subhashree did it with ease.”
