Tollywood is thriving on nostalgia amidst the nationwide lockdown and here’s a happy throwback from last year when character artist
Adil Hussain was honoured to see
Amitabh Bachchan following him on Twitter.
After making his debut in Bengali cinema with
Anjan Das’ Iti Srikanta in 2004, it took Adil Hussain 11 long years to return to Bengali films with
Arindam Sil’s
Har Har Byomkesh
(2015).
But we were fortunate to see more of this versatile actor in 2018. All his films ‘Mati’, ‘Ahare Mon’ and
Abyakto
(still waiting for theatrical release) received a lot of appreciation in many international film festivals. He has become almost every director’s most dependable actor and Adil received perhaps one of the best honours of his career when Amitabh Bachchan started following him on Twitter. Adil promptly acknowledged it was the megastar who inspired him to get into the world of acting.
"Dearest Amitabh Bachchanji, I am very honoured to be followed by you. You had been the first actor who inspired me to act in films right from my childhood! Thank you very much," Adil tweeted.
