As Bappi Lahiri’s last rites are being performed today at the Pawan Hans Crematorium a priceless throwback picture from his childhood days has gone viral. In the picture, a cute little Bappi Lahiri can be seen with the Mahanayak Uttam Kumar. This rare photo is surely a blast from the past as it leaves the singer-composer’s fans teary-eyed. Bappi Lahiri and Uttam Kumar used to be huge admirers of each other.
Meanwhile, the iconic singer-composer’s demise has left a void in the Indian music scenario that can’t be filled. The music maestro had composed music in several languages such as

, Bengali, Telugu and others. He’s also regarded as the pioneer of disco beats in our country and composed several hit Bengali songs including ‘Chirodini Tumi Je Aamar’.
Bappi Lahiri breathed his last at a Mumbai hospital on Tuesday midnight following multiple health issues. He was 69.
