They make their mark on the stage

The West Bengal Motion Picture Artist���s Forum organised a theatre festival and competition to celebrate their 18th birthday recently. Veteran actor Soumitra Chatterjee inaugurated the festival. The five plays that were staged were directed by Chaiti Ghoshal, Phalguni Chatterjee, Shantilaal Mukherjee, Rahul and Kheyali Dastidar ��� all of them members of the artist���s forum. On the judges��� panel were Goutam Ghose, Biplab Chatterjee, Leena Ganguly, Sahana Dutta and Ashok Mukherjee.
The main aim of the festival was to give a chance to the actors who never got much recognition or limelight inspite of being very talented. Indrani Haldar was the anchor for the event and we also spotted Saswata Chatterjee and Deblina Dutt among other known personalities at the do. Kheyali Dastidar���s production, Kata Chhera, was declared the winner.
