Ishaa Saha is often seen as a dark horse in Tollywood among the new brigade of actors. Yet, this former lawyer with no such mentor in the film industry has managed to carve a niche for herself with sheer dint of hard work and tenacity over the past few years.

We asked the talented actor how difficult it was for her to enter showbiz, and then make a mark and to this Ishaa says there’s no such thing like a

cakewalk

. “I feel so lucky that my eight-month journey in a popular mega series got me noticed, and helped a lot in grabbing the role of Shaon in Anindya Chattopadhyay’s ‘

Projapoti Biskut

’. But the thing is these kinds of happy coincidences don’t happen too often, and it’s hard work that can take you further. Achieving success is easy, but to retain it is the ultimate challenge. So, for me, the struggle continues,” explained the Bengali beauty during a recent chat with ETimes.

So, what has she learned as an actor so far? Ishaa promptly answers it has taught her how to be patient. “Acting has taught me patience, and it also made me realise that it’s not performance alone that will earn you work — you need to have good PR machinery. So, I try to stay calm and make the right decisions. Besides, one must be very professional when it comes to work. You have to be punctual and friendly with the shooting cast and crew,” adds the adorable beauty.

Ishaa will next be seen in Arindam Sil’s ‘

Mahananda

’ and Anjan Kanjilal’s ‘Sahobashe’.
