The edge-of-the-seat trailer, of Sandip Ray’s film, Hatyapuri was released recently. The movie stars Indraneil Sengupta as Feluda, Abhijit Guha as Jatayu and Ayush Das as Topshe. Veteran actor Paran Bandopadhyay will be seen in the movie, along with Saheb Chatterjee and Bharat Kaul.
Hatyapuri, based on the Satyajit Ray novel of the same name, follows the Feluda to Puri, along with his cousin Topshe, and close friend Lalmohan Ganguly (or Jayatu). The trio encounter an elusive gentleman named DG Sen and gets roped into complications that lead Feluda to exercise his crime-solving expertise all over again.
This gripping novel written in 1979 is a masterpiece and explores contemporary themes. While Shashanka Palit is the cinematographer, the dialogues have been penned by the director himself.
"We have put in our best in the film. Now it is up to the audience. I hope they will love watching the film," said the director.
