The teaser of ‘Paintings In The Dark’ chronicles a blind painter’s intense journey

Surprisingly Bengali cinema hasn’t explored the life of painters, especially stories revolving around the tension between artistic endeavour and commercial reality. Now, young filmmaker Satyajit Das is set for his directorial debut with ‘Paintings In The Dark’, a film revolving around a young blind painter.
Recently the first teaser of this film was dropped online and it’s been receiving positive feedback.The teaser gives a peek into the story which promises to be a roller-coaster of emotions. It’s an intense relationship drama revolving around a Blind Man, his parents’ journey. Be it the soothing colour palate, praiseworthy camera angles or haunting background score, the teaser of ‘Paintings In The Dark’ looks every bit intriguing.

The film stars Rashed Rahman and ‘White’ fame Sayantee Chattaraj and Sreela tripathy in the lead. If all goes according to plan, it will hit the theatres in August.
