Raajhorshee De’s first two films are yet to be released but the good news is his third directorial ‘

Purba Pashchim Dakshin

Uttor Ashbei’ is all set for its theatrical release.

The spiritual thriller is based on the first three stories from Avik Sarkar’s best-selling book 'Ebong Inquisition'. The three short stories have been stitched through a common narrator and listener who are the co-passengers during a train journey.

After giving a sneak peek into the three stories and the narrator in the first teaser, the second teaser from the film is out now and it looks much scarier than the first teaser. The teaser is full of spine chilling snippets taken from all the three stories. Plus, the eerie background score and sound design adds to the spooky feeling.

Watch the teaser here:
The upcoming thriller has an ensemble cast including Rudraprasad Sengupa, Arpita Chatterjee, Kamaleshwar Mukherjee, Gaurav Chakrabarty, Rajesh Sharma, Padmanava Dasgupta, Bidipta Chakroborty, Anyann Bhowmick. Raajhorshee has one more surprise as his third venture will also see India’s first transgender college principal Manabi Bandopadhyay in a pivotal role.

‘Purba Pashchim Dakshin’ mainly tries to break all those superstitions surrounding black magic and witchcraft. People have often generalized the notions over the worship of Goddess Kali and the practice of Tantra in Bengal. Director Raajhorshee De plans to project the entire practice from a different perspective through his film.
