The poster of Ranadeep’s ‘Vivir Juntos’ is out now
After making a rural love story ‘Nupur’ last year, young director Ranadeep Sarker is back with a short film ‘
The story chronicles around a conversation between Sonali and Vicky. But Bitter truths come out as the evening progresses along with so many twists in the narrative. Mumtaz is working with Ranadeep for the second time after ‘
Speaking about the film, the director said: “The young generation has become commitment phobic these days. They love to see a live-in relation like a casual stint, like a few nights stand. Relationships now start on social media, burgeon at restaurants and ends up in a hotel room booked on smartphones. We Indians, while following the Western culture, have forgotten our ethos. A live-in relationship, to millennials, is mainly about satisfying their carnal desires. My film sheds light on these basic instincts.”
Produced by Ayanjit Sen and La Pelicula Motion Pictures, ‘Vivir Juntos’ is an Indo-Western project and revolves around the true state of ‘live together’ in modern society. For those who are curious about the title, it’s a Spanish word which translates to ‘live together’ in English.
Based on a subject which has an universal appeal, Ranadeep wants to send ‘Vivir Juntos’ to international film festivals before releasing it.
