The pandemic has made serial shoots much more organised: Gourab Chatterjee

After completing

work

in a web series, actor Gourab Chatterjee is enjoying his work in Karunamoyee Rani Rashmoni because according to him, TV serial shoots have become much more organised after the lockdown.

Gourab said when he debuted on TV there were no fixed work hours for the artistes and technicians. There were instances when an actor had to work for days without a break. “Once I worked for 36 hours straight and often, it would be more than 20 hours. The

shooting

would end at 3 am or 4 am in the morning,” Gourab said.

A few months before the lockdown, the shoot of several serials were halted due to an irregular payment issue and during that time, it was also decided that no artiste would work for more than 14 hours a day. “After serial shoots started from June 2020, things became even more streamlined. Due to the pandemic, the shoots would be wrapped up by 8 pm and in order to maintain time, the entire process has become much more systematic,” he said, adding that people now come on time and everyone has started working much more professionally.

Meanwhile, the actor is also set to start shooting for

Srijit

Mukherjee’s next film from March. “The entire shoot will take place in Kolkata and I am eagerly waiting for the project,” Gourab said.
