It’s time to weave dreams with colourfully hued strings…” These opening lines aptly sum up the main essence of Aritra Mukherjee’s upcoming film ‘Fatafati’. Starring Ritabhari Chakraborty and Abir Chatterjee as the main leads, it’s a story of Phullora Bhaduri, a tailor from the suburbs with a gifted sense of designing. However, she is ridiculed almost all the time for being on the heavier side.
Can she become a fashion influencer despite the odds? That’s what forms the crux of this heartwarming film which also has Swastika Dutta, Soma Chakraborty, Raktim Samanta, Debosree Ganguly, Sanghasree Sinha, Asmee Ghosh and Loknath Dey in key roles.

Like Ritabhari’s previous film ‘Brahman Janen Gopon Kommoti’ with Aritra Mukherjee, this one also comes with a social message of body positivity and self-love. To fit seamlessly in her character, she even gained 25 kilos and maintained her weight throughout the shoot. The actor also faced all the challenges with a smile and we love the dedication the actress has towards her craft. After the final shot, she hopped back to get into shape.
