The great music launch of Dhulochaan

'Platonic' is a group of a Bengali band which was formed by 5 friends of an engineering college who decided to form a band. However, none of them could be professional musicians since they took up jobs after passing out from college, and each of them became busy with their own lives. But, their friendship and dreams of expressing themselves through music remained, and after so many years all of them have been able to come together to form a band called 'Platonic'.
The band consists of 5 members: Shuvayan Mukherjee, Debiprosad Mukherjee, Subhanku Chatterjee, Aditya Hazra and Srijan Kundu. Barring Srijan, the rest of them are techies. The launch of their maiden album 'Dhulochaan' took place at the auditorium of Techno India Engineering College, the alma mater of all of them. Their mentor Satyam Roy Choudhury, the chairman of the Techno India Group was present at the launch as was singer Indrani Sen, music composer Debojyoti Mishra, Debasish Kumar, MIC (Parks and Squares), KMC and others. The album has 8 songs like 'Tai Boli Anu', 'Chol Jai Ure', 'Kache Pete Tomar Moton', 'Pheere Takali Koi' and others. The album has been released by Sagarika.
