The first poster of Byomkesh Gowtro is out

This Puja, the plot gets thicker! Arindam Sil is back with another Byomkesh mystery —

Byomkesh Gowtro

— based on Rakter Daag. The first look of the film is out and it looks intriguing. The striking thing about the poster is Byomkesh's new avatar. It features the iconic sleuth, played by Abir Chatterjee, in a three-piece suit as opposed to the dhoti- kurta. The cigarette has also given way to a cigar. The long coat is a far cry from what the audience is used to seeing onscreen. It's making the audience wonder what else has undergone a transformation in the latest instalment.

In this film we will see a young boy, Satyakam, of 21 years of age, comes to Byomkesh’s Kolkata home, introduces himself as son of a business magnate from Landour, Mussourie and says he feels that his life is under threat. He wants Byomkesh to come to Mussoorie and investigate the case. Byomkesh reaches Landour only to find Satyakam murdered.

Subhankar Bhar is the man behind the camera and the music has been composed by Bickram Ghosh. Abir Chatterjee, Sohini Sarkar, Baishakhi Marjit, Anjan Dutt, Harsh Chayya, Priyanka Sarkar, Sauraseni Maitra,Arjun Chakraborty, Bibriti Chatterjee, Indrashish Ray, Anindita Bose and Joydip Kundu are part of the cast. Rahul Banerjee is replacing Ritwick Chakraborty as Ajit in the film.
