Pavel’s much-anticipated ‘Asur’ is already out sending the social media into a tizzy. It grabs attention especially for its aesthetic, like’s

Starring Jeet,
Abir Chatterjee, and
Nusrat Jahan in the lead, ‘Asur’ is being directed by Pavel and only a couple of days’ shooting is left before it goes on to the post-production works.
The film is bankrolled by Jeet’s home production and initially he had planned to release the film during Durga Puja but now as the poster confirms ‘Asur’ will hit the theatres not in autumn but winter. The exact release date hasn’t yet finalised but it will likely hit the theatres during Christmas. But the makers may also prepone the date after carefully analyzing the films that will be releasing at the same time.
Pavel wants to call his film a love saga and Ramkinkar forms the “soul” of this film. The plot is his tribute to Ramkinkar Baij. It’s a relationship story of three friends — Kigan (Jeet), Bodhi (Abir) and Aditi (Nusrat).
The trio has been friends from their college days. While Kigan and Aditi used to study arts, Bodhi was a student of English literature. Abir playing Bodhi fits the role to the T. His character hails from a Bengali aristocratic family who has taken up a corporate job. Kigan dabbles in sculpture and painting while Aditi is a non-practicing artiste.
