Telly actress Payel Deb set for big screen debut

We have seen actress Payel Deb in a wide range of characters in a number of television serials over the years and the talented actress is set for her big screen debut. Payel is playing a key role in Rajorshi Dey’s upcoming paranormal thriller ‘Purba Pashchim Dakshin (Uttor Asbei)’.
“This film is special in my life. First it’s my debut and secondly I got a chance to work with Ranjan Palit sir.It’s a big achievement to work with the cinematographer of ‘Pataakha’ and ‘Saat Khun Maaf’. Rajorshi da (director) made my dream come true,” says Payel.
The director is all praise for Payel as well: “She has a lot of potential. As I prefer to work with a set of particular actors I would cast Payel in my next film too. We already had a discussion about this.”
Rajorshi has recently wrapped the shoot of his paranormal thriller which is based on Avik Sarkar’s best-selling book ‘Ebong Inquisition’. It has an ensemble cast including Rudraprasad Sengupa, Arpita Chatterjee, Kamaleshwar Mukherjee, Gaurav Chakrabarty, Rajesh Sharma, Padmanava Dasgupta, Bidipta Chakroborty, Anyann Bhowmick.
‘Purba Pashchim Dakshin’ mainly tries to break all those superstitions surrounding black magic and witchcraft.
